Question!
Is there a way I could compare who has a email address( person document) in Notes to who has a email address listed in AD.
This stems from the fact that we have created users in Notes that have access to webmail only and do not have a network account. I'm trying to resolve this to make sure everyone has network account.

I had a archived copy of my email on the local system. Due to some problem my C: drive of the system got corrupted and i had already taken one copy of my archive folder. After reinstalling the OS and Lotus Notes now i have kept the archive copy in the same folder DATA\Archive\batabasename. Now when i try to access the archive it gives message a " DATABASE is corrupted --- cannot allocate space""
I tried to move the archived copy of the DB to server and applied following commands but non of them worked..
Load compact databasename -c
Load updall databasename -c
Fixup
I have Lotus version 7
Any idea?

I am planning to migrate my domino server from windows 2003 to Suse Linux Enterprise 12 and upgrade the domino server, sametime server and traveler from 8.5 to 9.0.1. What is the best practice to do this?
My plan is to upgrade the domino server from 8.5 to 9.0.1 first, after upgrade then migrate into Sles 12 by moving files ( server id, admin id, cert id, name.nsf, notes ini and all .nsf file extension ) to the new server.

I am running IBM Lotus Domino Email Server with Symantec Premium Antispam.
From past few days, I am receiving SPAM emails that pretend to coming from my own email address. example my email is JOHN@MYCOMPANY.COM , and in my inbox, i see spam email coming from JOHN@MYCOMPANY.COM. (and in header different ips or domains showed , see below code)
how can I prevent such spam emails. as sometimes they contains harmful .docm or sometimes it shows advertisements.

Few time back , I added cluster server for Domino. its working fine, both servers can replicate mails with each other correctly & when creating new user, it creates mail file on both servers fine. Archiving is also enabled which moves 1 year old mails into user archive file.
The problem is whenever I DELETE any user from the DOMINO server, it does not REMOVE user mail nsf file from both servers. Also it does not remove this user from the users groups, So it's quite a headache for me to first delete user from USERS, then Delete user mail files (that includes current mail nsf + archive file )from both servers , then remove users from each user groups. (all done from domino admin client)
What should I check ?

We have a CRM database on Domino that's close to reaching it's 64gb file size limit. The DB is set to archive anything older than 3 years.
It contains thousands of email correspondence, meeting reports, telephone reports, etc.
The DB is not DAOS enabled, will investigate that in the near future.
Is there any way to analyse this DB and see what exactly is using up all the space?
For example, in an ideal world, I'd like to see how much is taken up by jpg's, pdf's etc.
I'm of the opinion that email signatures (images) are responsible for a large portion of this.
Any ideas or tips?

I have domino installed on one of my test environments and after a restart of the server the service "lotus domino server" is not starting
I have managed to get the mail flowing through thenserver.exe
But I need access to the Lotus Domino Console
I have tried to recreate the service, no success
I have tried many reboots no success
I have tried different versions of recreating the service - no success
Has anybody got any ideas
The windows logs is showing this error
The Lotus Domino Server service terminated with the following service-specific error:

The recreation of the service was
C:\Lotus\Dominosc create "Lotus Domino Server" binPath= "C:\Lotus\Domino\nservice.exe =c:\Lotus\Domino\notes.ini -jc -c"
I have also tried the service without the -jc -c

I have a couple of users, who are die hard Outlook users. They have mail, however they never get / see calendar invites etc.
Is there a way to do this, apart from using an external calendar etc?

Hi, We have migrated to exchange server some time ago. We still use the Lotus Domino server for some legacy applications that sends mail using Lotus. Problem is all mailboxes are really big and we will empty them all to free up some space on the drive.
Can we do this with a script or agent? I don't wanna go though every single mailbox using administrator mode and delete all content manually..

I change the username example, from Yat Yoke Chin/ABC to Sherie Yat Yoke Chin/ABC. But when I tried login from lotus note, the username still Yat Yoke Chin/ABC and not Sherie Yat Yoke Chin/ABC. Any advice ?

I want to change the username from Andy Yap Sing Hoe/CCA to Yap Sing Hoe/CCA, is there a correct way to edit this username because what i did is directly edit person using "edit person". And when I done change it, and test send email the i received from Andy Yap Sing Hoe/CCA not from Yap Sing Hoe/CCA and ACL to yapsh.nsf is set to Yap Sing Hoe/CCA not Andy Yap Sing Hoe/CCA .
How can i correct this problem?. :)

It has become apparent that the cert for the Domino Administrator console to connect to the SMTP server has expired and when I am trying to connect the the server I am getting this error
Contacting to the startup server ********* failed
Your certificate has expired

I can send notifications from my computer which has Lotus Domino installed on using multiple ids to other users within my domain but I cannot send any notifications from their machines using the same ids.How can this be possible?

Mgmt of Teamroom setup is that:
sub-teams are created & assigned to relevant tearoom entries
Members are added to sub-teams
Presently any changes made (add / del of members) to sub-teams, they do not take
affect, each relevant entry in the teamroom has to be edited and saved for
that to happen
