How to schedule an IBM Domino shutdown? (And the start later)
Is there an easy but reliable way to shutdown the domino server (not the server as hardware, just the "application")?
I would love to have a time window of aboaut 2-3 hours on set dates (and time) with the domino server application not running. But I need it to run after this again. So basically what I am looking for is a "stop - start - tool" or if already built-in the command (and its syntax).
I have found this in SpiceWorks:
But I don't need a direct restart, i need it to "pause" between shutdown und starting.

Upgraded Domino and Traveler, receiving Google GCM error for two Android users
I just updated our Domino server (on Win2k8) to 9.0.1 FP4 and Traveler to 9.0.1.8, along with created a new self-signed certificate for the Traveler users. This was all prompted by the iOS 9 change (and soon to be everyone) to TLS from SSL. The upgrade for both Domino and Traveler went as smooth as they ever have. The self certification process a bit less so, due to IBM's documentation habit of linking you through 8 different wiki pages for one issue.
So, all that was finally done and working fabulously!! We had a number of recommendations from Heather at RPR Wyatt on some best practice configuration changes. Again, all that went just fine.
So, immediately I started seeing the following error, but only for two Android users:

i used this very agent few days before it worked perfectly then,i cant guess whats the problem.

Lotus Notes Domino OBJECT COLLECT/ OBJECT STORE
Hi guys,
Can u share with me if u have experienced this problem where "OBJECT COLLECT/OBJECT STORE" repeating prompt even though this task is running daily on 2AM by default. Attached is the pix of the error prompt when user tried to archive or reply the email. I have run fixup, compact and updall. After run the command, the error will prompt again on the other day.

Moving traveler to a separate domino server
I have found numerous instructions on moving a Domino server.
I currently have a Domino 9..0.1 server running mail, dis, and traveler. I want to move traveler to a separate server, then eliminate the traveler task from the mail server. I already have a new Domino server registered in the domain and installed.
Obviously moving the domino and data will not work. Is this a replication, then shutdown the original exercise?

Lotus Email Sent Out (Spam) Without User Permission
Two of our email user been sending spam email to others every time they login to their lotus email. Both stop after change password and clear using spybot. But I'm not sure where is the root cause. If it happened again, where the best place should I check? we are using lotus Notes 8.5.2. Many Thanks!

Moving user to another Organisation

Rename -- Request to new certifier .. Selected certifier id and password..Selected new OU[certifier] , click on ok . nothing happening
If I select another OU [certifier]..clik on Ok works to next level .

ibm lotus domino server archiev problem
We are using Domino 8.5.3 FP6. (64bit) on Win-2008 R2 64bit.
We have a policy to archive emails older then 365 days into archive folder (for all users).
2 years back, our server crashed dueto hardware failure. we acquired new hardware and restored the email DB's and settings from backup. all went fine.
After that we noticed that archive policy which run weekly and moves mails older then 365 days is moving many recent random emails like last days, week,month to the 'Older than 365days Archive' folder so I disabled archiving.
Today i found out that it happens with old accounts only, And Accounts which were created after that crash are working ok there archive is ok.
I have executed fixup -f -j , tried replacing the Mailfile template, Running an Updall -RX and a Compact -C. but no use.
my server is still bleeding with this bloody issue from...

lotus domino compact for archive and whitespace
I have domino 8.5.2 FP6 on W2008 Server. (64bit) and transnational logging is enabled.
I wanted to know that if I run compact -a , it archives the data, but it donot reduce the file size. To reduce file size, i have to execute compact -B which reduces the file size.
So can I run "compact -a -B" ? any issue ?

Migrating Domino/Lotus Notes Mail Files to Hosted Exchange
Does anyone have experience migrating mail files from Domino to Hosted Exchange / Office 365? We're looking at a 2016 migration with around 150 mailboxes ranging in size from 1GB ~ 20GB. We're small and I want to keep costs low as I don't think we have enough budgeted (not my area). I'm a well-rounded IT administrator so I'm thinking we can do this ourselves without getting screwed by one of the many vendors that claim to be able to host our email (i.e. resell Microsoft's Hosted Exchange or Office 365 -- or stick our email on their managed server in a colo somewhere).

cc email address doesn't receive email
Hi guys,
We are using lotus notes 5, and have a problem where "cc" email address doesn't receive email and "to" email address receive an email. I'm not sure why is this happen cause i already check on our Symantec Messaging Gateway log and couldn't find any transaction for related email.
Attached is the email for your perusal, both sh.tan and s.nurulatikah doesn't receive email.only agnes receive the email eventhough both nurul and tan is a valid user.

Spellcheck Hell - IBM Lotus Notes v9.0.1 FP4
I have looked around the IBM sites for a solution, and google along the way... nada
So for any of you that support Lotus Notes clients here goes...
I have a user that has a issue with Lotus Notes v9.0.1 w/ Fixpack 4 installed and when you go to send a email the spellcheck option doesnt seem to be working for her, I have checked in the preferences and it is enabled, I have unchecked it and closed LN and gone back in and enabled it again and closed out and still same issue...
It doesnt seem to flag any entries, I sent myself a email from the client and it didnt flag anything in which I spelled out: testwin ( together ) and it went through without being flagged?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, only thing I did come across was that there is a newer FP5 available and an Notes.ini entry for adding an entry for spellcheck signature you...

Non blocking error messages after mass recertify
Hi folks!
Quite noobish Notes admin here!
Yesterday, we've recertified 40 users, and today they have a popup when they launch Notes (it's translated from French, so maybe the error message is not EXACLTY the same) :
"Error while updating local ID : Unable to write, the ID file is read only or disk is full"
For the first user, renames the Notes directory in the Appdata folder helped to fix this, but I don't want and can't do this for the 39 other users.
If I check on the computers, the new cert is installed, but the error messages comes when opening and closing Notes...
Do you know what could be the reason and how to fix it?

Lotus Domino with Symantec Mail Security for Domino Port 25 not listening
OS = Windows 2008 R2 64bit.
Email System = Lotus Domino Server Ver 8.5.3 with FP6/64bit.
Antispam = Symantec Mail Security for Domino with Premium Antispam ver 8.0/x [SMSDOM]
2 days back I had problem that i was not able to receive inbound emails. outgoign were working perfect. upon troubleshooting I found that telnet to mail server on port 25 not working.when SMSDOM is install, it chnages the default 25 port to random port, and act as proxy for 25. I then remove the smsdom , fresh re install it, bu the problem is same that when ever i enable smsdom, my inbound email stops working. on the cluster replica server i also have ssmdom installed and that is working fine. I know smsdom well, but dunt know what i am missing. i configured the smtp proxy and set my domain in it, and checked every setting.

Lotus Domino Spam Mails
Hello all, I keep getting mails purporting to be from my organization which is fraudulent and I am certain its not from my organization its an attack . The problem is every time we block the originating IP they will change it and re-send. Last week we had about 80,000 of those mails sent. The mails appears to be from withing our domain abc@ourdomain.com. We believe the reason we are getting it is when the attacker sends the malicious email upon reply it delivers to us since thereby misleading a victim to make it look like we sent it. Please assists if possible.
I have tightened the mail inbound rules but still the problem persists. Its a Lotus Domino 8.5 environment.
