We are being acquired and are currently using Lotus Notes. We will need to convert the Notes databases (some large) to PST. The largest approaches 20 Gig. The new computers will not have Lotus Notes installed. What is the best process/software to use?

Mail folder missing in IBM Domino Administrator
So let me start by saying I have no experience with Lotus/IBM Notes so I just want to apologise If nothing I say makes sense but I'll try to keep it ELI5 and just say what I see.
We have backups failing on one .NSF file on a legacy server that a client used to use and keeps around for some vague purpose.
I was advised that I need to find the mailbox in Domino Administrator and there should be a Mail folder located in Data and from there I can run a FIXUP command against the mailbox in question. However, as per the screenshot, that Mail directory is missing.
Does anybody know of the reason why?
It's my understanding that the screenshot attached should be a representation of the folder structure on the server. But when I navigate to H:\Lotus\Domino\Data in Windows Explorer I can see that there is a Mail directory there and that it contains...

Hi,
Utilizing the below code, do you know how I can alter this to send emails from my group mailbox versus my personal mailbox in Lotus Notes and also be able to categorize the emails based on the drop down list contained within the Lotus notes database and lastly ensure that the email still gets sent for approval?

Using the same Lotus Notes ID file at the same time on 2 different PC's
I have a department the includes (2) users on (2) Windows7 PC's that need to access the same Lotus Notes email account simultaneously. However, Lotus Notes locks up continuously. I've even uninstalled the application, deleted every trace of it and reinstalled it along with service packs. Today, I made sure that the multiuser version was setup. They are running Lotus Notes version 8.53

Domino Server migration to different data center
Hello All,
On of our customer is planning to migrate the current domino servers hosted in one data center to different data center. the challenge in migration is that they dont have clutser environment and requirement is that this migration show be carried out in zero downtime. To achive this we are using the swing kit with Vsphere and SRM replication. But we are not sure whether Vsphere support domino replication and even if support replication I doubt they wont be any corruption issue in database post migration. Request with this forum is that is there any other way we can migrate the domino server to different DC with minimum downtime ? Please help.

Lotus Domino Server Error 550 Empty envelope senders not allowed
I have Lotus Domino 8.5.3 FP6 mail server. When our user sends email to specific (two or three domains) the mail returns with following error:
Error transferring to mx10.MULPHICO.PK; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 550 Empty envelope senders not allowed
I have proper SPF record published for my domain. Symantec Premium Antispam is installed domino server as well. All dns/reverse dns records are properly in place.
This doesn't happens with all domains, but some of them do return our emails. Is there any thing I can do at my server level ?

SmartCloud Hybrid Environment and IMAP enable for few users
Our organization is running on IBM Smart cloud with 1500+users.Due to the security reasons management advised to disable IMAP for all
Now we have a requirement where we need to enable IMAP for some users like 10 users.
We opened a PMR with IBM smart cloud support team and here is the response.
Since your organization is set up as Hosted organization and cannot be converted to a Hybrid account. You need to delete the existing organization and create a new hybrid organization and then can configure the hybrid configuration. Or you can create a new hybrid organization and configure from scratch.
Our management don't want disturb the current setup, Now the question is there is any way where we can enable a proxy domino server through which we can enable IMAP for these 10 users.

Domino Database App
Hi,
This past weekend we had a serious issue occur with our Domino server.
2 hard drives in a raid-5 decided to go south at the same time :(
We are awaiting the delivery of new drives but I fear it may possibly be too late.
In any case we have several apps that were built in house and ran on this Domino server
that need resurrected as soon as possible.
We restored one from tape to do some testing and found that it does open and seems to funtion
on a client perspective. The problem is multiple people need to open this database at the same time.
In the Domino environment this was not a problem but now it seems to be on a singular level.
Is there a way to allow multiple instances of this DB (and others) to be opened without the Domino server alive?

When uploading a file using the paperclip icon via Lotus notes - Browse to a SharePointdirectory
Error "File does not exist"
This is the same with drag and drop files to the application.
However, this works when you take the file from SharePointand upload via localhost (C:drive)
Looked at tones of articles. nothing works.
any ideas.
Has to be local to the machine as this does not affect all machines. (Just a Few)
Upgrading the client to 9.01 did not work.
Rebuild lotus notes profile: did not work
Lotus notesprofile works on another machine. My account which I know works does not on this one machine.

Converting contacts from Lotus Notes to Outlook 365 - best solution?
Greetings,
My organisation has migrated from Lotus Notes to Outlook 365. It was done by the head office except that at my office, people's contacts haven't been migrated correctly.
The head office being very busy with 50k+ accounts, I have decided to look for a solution to manually "convert" contacts, especially the groups that the users don't want to retype manually in Outlook.
Any suggestion? I've tried several solutions without success. I tried Stellar's and Cubex's solutions but they don't seem to convert my groups correctly.

How can I open a parent document when the user opens a child document.
I have a view of "children" documents that users can see. If they click on the document, I want them to automatically open the parent document, not the child. The child never has to be opened. I can get the parent open in the QueryOpen ,PostOpen or OnLoad events, but the child still opens last. If I perform a FileCloseWindow, it closes the parent instead of the child.
I am a developer and this is eluding me for some reason.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Migrating Lotus Notes Users to another Server with different Internet Domain
Hi,
I need help on experts at Lotus Notes.
A) So we are under ONE (1) Domino Domain but we have sites globally so we created groups under this one domain.
B) We have TWO (2) Internet domain inside e.g. ABC.com & DEF.com
C) All other groups are using ABC.com and only one site using DEF.com because they are still hosted different ISP
D) There are E-mail Servers on each site
E) Only DEF.com site got SMTP server aside from E-mail Server - so got two (2) server there
OBJECTIVE & Question:
1 - DEF.com office will move to a smaller office so we need to decommission the servers on that site
2 - We are looking at transferring Users mailbox onto our server here in HQ for central management
3 - We are now in midst of transferring the hosting of ISP's MX recordin HQ so we can setup SMTP on our server here as well
4 - We need to have ABC.com and DEF.com run...

Lotus Notes "OSVBlockAddr: Bad VBlock handle [F010\48A7]" error

I have problem with my colleague lotus notes where when he open sent item there a red and black box pop up "OSVBlockAddr: Bad VBlock handle [F010\48A7]" and cause the lotus notes application freeze. Lotus Domino How to Empty User Mailbox
I am running Lotus Domino 8.5.3 FP6. There is a mail tracking account in which every IN/OUT mail copy is saved. It have archive policy to delete documents older then 60 days.
Problem is that it's File Size has grown upto 64 GB and now I cannot open this mail file

Database (.nsf) has grown too large; use compact to reduce the file size or use File New Replica to recreate your file with larger capacity.
Compact runs daily in night (compact -a -B mailtracking)
If I want, How can I Empty this database? (without deleting the mail tracking account/db)

IBM (Lotus) Notes group addressing issue
We've just started to see some odd behavior recently. It is likely related to more clients rolling out at v9.0.1, where they had been 8.5.x and earlier.
Here's the issue: a user has a personal group set up in their address book to which then send a message. Used to be this group was parsed out to the individual members so that a "reply to all" worked just fine. Now, the message is sent as to the group name. However, a "reply to all" results in an error, as the recipient(s) don't have this group. I could set up a company-wide group, but then I have to maintain it. There is now an option in the 9.x client to "Do not expand personal groups" in the Delivery Options. By default this is not checked, so I would think the default action would be that the groups are expanded to the full list of individual addresses.

Accessing Old Lotus Email

About 15 months ago we became an Outlook 365 shop.
At that time we were a IBM Notes shop.
The decision was made not to migrate the Lotus email and
only use it as an old archive.
Then about 5 months ago disaster struck and the Domino server died.
The decision was made (against IT's advice) not to bring up another IBM server.
Accessing the archived email seemed to work as long as the client had Notes installed.
However I have ran across one user that I cannot get his email to open.
It basically states he is not authorized to access the database.
Since I had Domino Admin on my PC I also tried with Full Access Administration
and I too received this same message.
This users email file was restored from tape as was everyone else's that felt they
needed access to the old Lotus stuff.
I have set all NTFS permissions on his file just as I did with others...
